Garth Brooks will be in Las Vegas this weekend (January
19, 20) to host the "Teammates For Kids Weekend"
for professional athletes who have helped raise money for
Brooks's Teammates For Kids organization. Formerly known as
the Touch 'Em All Foundation, the organization raises money
for children's causes by having major league baseball players
donate money for each single, double, triple, and home run
they hit. The foundation has changed its name to Teammates
For Kids so athletes from all sports could take part in the
action.
While in Las Vegas, Brooks is expected to chat with a few
major league teams to discuss whether or not he himself will
suit up and join a team for spring training. According to
Brooks's publicist, the superstar has not yet decided whether
or not he will be playing baseball this year.
